Juan Fernando Chacon was born 1969 in Manzanillo.  He is a graduate of the Academia profesional de Artes Plasticas de la provincia de Holguin.
He is a member of AHS (Asociacion Hermanos Saiz), UNEAC (Union Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba) and of the Fondo de Bienes Culturales
de Cuba.
He has had the following personal exhibitions:
- Exposicion "Imagenes", Academia Profesional de Artes Plasticas de Holguin, 1987.
- Exposicion "Me veo claramente", galeria de Arte en Manzanillo, 1990.
- Exposicion "Represion", galeria de Arte en Manzanillo, 1991.
- Exposicion "Detras de la puerta", centro literario Manuel Navarro Luna
   en Manzanillo, 1991.
- Exposicion Bipersonal "Fernando Chacon - Ramon Cisneros", Casa de la Amistad, Sala Kesse, Tarragona, Spain, 1997.

He has also participated in several collective exhibitons, such as the "Salon Nacional de Estudiantes" in Habana, 1988;  the VI Salon Nacional
de Premiados at the Museo Nacional Palacio de Bellas Artes, Habana in 1992, and the Salon de Poesia Illustrada, in 1995, 1996, and 1997.
