FRANCISCO MENDEZ ALONSO
Francisco Mendez was born on October 15, 1954, in Havana. He attended the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Havana, from which he graduated in 1980. Having always felt an affinity for the arts, particularly painting, he enrolled in art classes, where he learned basic painting techniques. Since 1980, he combines his work as a civil engineer with his second career...being an artist. Painting, he says, satisfies and relaxes him because it is a labour of love and dedication.
