DANIEL ROCA BLANCO
Daniel Roca was born in Havana on June 27, 1967. In 1983, he commenced his studies in industrial design at the Instituto de Diseno Industrial in Havana, from which he grduated in 1987. He started his artistic career in carving, and did not begin to paint until 1996. In his car paintings, Roca works from photographs taken in the streets of Havana, and he does repeat the same scene numerous times. His paintings, therefore - though they are all genuine originals - can be very similiar to one another, but no two are ever exactly alike. Roca's works can be found in private collections throughout the world.
