JULIO ANDRES SUAREZ MACHIN
Julio Suarez was born in Pinar del Rio in 1964. He graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Arte in 1968. He initially worked in the book and publishing business, and has been a member of the Union de Periodistas de Cuba since 1970. He was the artistic director of the "Revista Verde Olivo" from 1978 until 1990. In 1981, with four other artists, he founded the group Tiempo Libre. He joined the Union de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba in 1995, and started painting. In 1999, he became a member of the Proyecto Horizontal. He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Cuba.
