Island life, vibrant tropical colours and Caribbean spirit provide endless themes for Jamaican artist Janis Rankin. Subjects from rainforests, tropical plants and flowers, to the turquoise ocean of the Caribbean are her favourites. Janis most always paints from life in her primary medium, watercolour. Janis believes that watercolours teach us to accept imperfection, which, as in a nature, is part of the beauty.
