Can I trust you to deliver my purchases?

Yes.  We fully appreciate how unnerving Internet purchases can be...especially when you are purchasing goods from someone with whom you have never done business before.  As reassurance, we can offer only our good name, acquired in over 40 years of selling art to satisfied customers in Jamaica and the wider world.  We also invite you to visit the ABOUT US page to peruse our Testimonials.

Are all of your paintings original works of art?
Yes.  All of the paintings displayed in our Haitian Art, Cuban Art and Jamaican Art collections are originals.  We have a separate "Giclee Prints" collection featuring Amy Laskin's works, which are available in limited print editions.

Can you tell me more about your giclee prints?
Yes.  Our giclees are available in limited editions.  Each edition is strictly limited to 25 prints & each print is numbered & hand-signed by the artist.  Our giclee prints are made by Lithographic Printers Ltd. of Kingston, Jamaica, using the finest materials available to assure long lasting beauty and to protect your investment in fine art.  The canvas is acid free cotton/polyester and is used in conjunction with archival, pigmented inks that are engineered to last 130 years.  Our prints are meticulously matched to the original oil painting in a cooperative effort by Amy Laskin, the Gallery of West Indian Art and Lithographic Printers Ltd. to attain a print that faithfully captures the essence of the original.  To properly care for your investment in fine art giclee prints, never display in strong ultraviolet radiation, such as direct sunlight.  Our prints have been sprayed with an acrylic protective coating to protect them from environmental pollutants.  With proper care and handling, your framed giclee prints will last for generations to come.

Do you provide proof of authenticity?
We will be happy to include a Certificate of Authenticity with your shipment.

Are all of your paintings displayed on the website?
No...but most are.  If you want to know whether or not we have additional paintings by a particular artist, please contact us by e-mail.

Are all the paintings on your site available for sale?
Yes.

Are your paintings stretched and framed?
No.  All of our paintings are unstretched and unframed, and will be shipped that way.  For one thing, the shipment of unstretched paintings is much safer and also more affordable.  For another, we believe that framing is very much a matter of personal preference & is thus best done by the customer himself.

How do I order or purchase a painting?

How do you package the paintings for shipment?
All canvas paintings are rolled around an inner tube, then wrapped, then placed inside a protective outer tube.  Board & Canvas Board paintings are wrapped, and then packaged inside a carton.

How do you ship & what are the approximate shipping costs?

Do you offer discounts?
No, we do not. Our prices are very fair to begin with.

Are there duties or taxes payable?
The import of original works of art from Jamaica to the USA is free of duty and taxes.  In all other countries, taxes and duties may be applicable - so, please make sure to check with your relevant authorities before making a purchase to avoid an unpleasant surprise.

Do you offer lay-away plans?
Yes, we do.  Please contact us by e-mail or phone to arrange the necessary details.

What is your refund policy?
If - for whatever reasons - you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will refund you the full cost of your purchase, including outbound shipping charges, as soon as we receive the returned artwork in good condition.  Please contact us for a return authorization and detailed return shipping instructions.  Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.  We will not accept returns without prior authorization.
