JEAN BRUNO LOUISIUS
Born in Jeremie in the Southwest of Haiti on January 18, 1952, Louisius started drawing when a child. After working as a carpenter, he moved to Port-au-Prince in 1974 and started painting. His intial subjects were landscapes and still lifes until, in 1982, he began painting the colourful market scenes for which he has become renowned.
